TAFE NSW

TAFE NSW is one of the largest vocational training institution in Australia. It is runs by NSW State Government's Department of Education and Communities, with many of its colleges spread across NSW.

The programs offer quality vocational and trade skills training to both international students and local Australian.

The vocational programs offer by TAFE NSW are strongly industry oriented and it is widely recognised by many countries in the world as a superior training programs to train quality technical skilled people to meet industry needs.

Commercial colleges

Many commercial colleges in Australia are located in major city such as Sydney. These colleges are also offering some areas of the vocational programs as listed above.

Note:

1. Entry requirements might be vary depending on individual college or program.

2. TOFEL, Pearson, Cambridge, Certificate in English, SPM, O'Level or its equivalent will be accepted as evidence of meeting the English language entry requirement.

Package arrangement

If your English results is not meeting the direct entry requirements, please do not disappointed as we can arrange a "package" program for you to improve your English language skills prior to commencing your certificate or diploma program studies.

Future direction:

After you have graduated from your certificate IV or diploma program studied, you can choose to further your study in Australia by doing an undergraduate degree course in Australia.

If your diploma qualification is relevant to your undergraduate degree studies, your university may also grant you up to 1 year of exemption, which mean you need only a further 2 years of studies to compete your 3 years bachelor degree program.

Temporary Graduate; Subclass 485 Visa-Graduate work stream.

If the course duration of the vocational program you have completed total 2 academic years or above, it is possible for you to apply for a 18 months Skilled -Graduate Temporary visa to work or getting your trade skills qualified by doing a job ready program in Australia - If your qualification is relevant to your nominated occupation and the nominated occupation is listed in the Skilled Occupation List.

Apart from the criteria above, you will also need to have competent English (IELTS score of 6 in each of the 4 bands) as well as fulfilling other criteria as require for this class of visa.
