High Schools programs
High school program start from Junior Secondary Year 7-10 and follows by Senior Secondary year 11-12.
Generally, high school in Australia can be classified into three categories as follows:
1. State Government high school (public high school).
2. Private schools
3. Boarding schools
The Department of Education and Communities of NSW Government run one of the largest high school programs in the state of NSW with high school located in most of the convenient distance within the suburbs of NSW.
Private schools include independent high schools, Catholic Schools, Christian Schools, Islamic School or other religious school.
Boarding schools include private independent schools or Catholic schools or other of similar nature.
Tuition fee:
The NSW government charges the lowest tuition fee on international students studying high school program in NSW.

School terms:
There are 4 school terms per academic year.
High school 1st term start at the end of January and finishes at the end of December each year.
Entry requirements:
Academic qualification:
Depending on the passport you are holding, you may evidence of completing at least Year 6 primary school studies to apply to further your high school studies in Australia.
English language requirement:
Under most circumstances, you do not need to have English language proficiency evidence to apply to study in high school in Australia.
However, if you do not have English language proficiency evidence in support of your application, you will be required to enroll to do a period (2 terms) of high school intensive English program and you are expected to achieve the acceptable level before formally gaining entry to do your high school program.
Accommodation and welfare:
Generally, international student studying Year 9-12 high school program in Australia can either chose to live in approved homestay family, rented accommodation (if over 18 years old) or boarding houses or live in accommodation provided by approved family's relatives or friends.
International student enrolls to do Year 7 and 8 must live with parent (student guardian visa holder) or approved relative in Australia.
Future direction:
Depending on the passport you are holding and the assessment level on the course you are planning to studies in Australia, after you have completed your Year 10, 11 high school studies, you may be able to consider your options such as:
1. Continue to do high school studies and sit for the higher school certificate at the end of Year 12 high school studies and seek gaining entry to do your undergraduate degree or vocational studies with your HSC results.
2. Do foundation or vocational program with your Year 11 or Year 12 high school results.
3. Do vocational or diploma program with your Year 10, 11 or 12 high school results
